Random error: You must register/login first

Hi,

I am testing the toolbar everywhere and have installed the latest version 4.4. I have latest Jomsocial and Joomla versions also.

I have set the toolbar to registered members only and to appear on all but the jomsocial pages. When I log in, I get a random error whereby the toolbar randomly disappears when I move between pages. I get the following message in its place: You must register/login first.

Would you have any idea what might be causing this?

Kind regards

Mel

Hi,

yes, that is switched on. Is that correct?

I meant to say, if I move away from a page then go back again it appears, or if I clear the system cache it can come back.

Kind regards

Mel

*BUMP*

Any solution to this problem it just happen to me but to only selected users, who have the same access as the users who can see the toolbar.

Hi Andrut,

I haven't managed to solve it. Tried all sorts, checked permissions, access levels, even hosting on a new server but it is still an issue. If you manage to fathom out how to fix it will you let us know?

Kind regards

Mel

Hi MelanieB,

I'm sure that it comes to a joomla, access permission error.
- have you try another module position (for testing e.g. position footer)?
- have you switch on the toolbar in js-community settings?
- have you switch the module to registered user (have you other usergroups also?) and on all sites?
- try to switch on the module for all users

sorry my english is not the best 🙂
