Why is it that when i installed this module and enabled it, i just get the message, "you must register first" instead of the actual module? I am registered as a jomsocial user and joomla user. Why is it not recognizing the registration?

Sorry, the Knu Alerts module.
The knu alerts module should be only visible and published for registered user, that means only logged in Users should be able to view it. When you published the module in public view the message "you must register first" will shown.
I must be making a silly mistake or something, then, because I am logged in as a registered user and still the module displays a "you must register first" message.
Do you test it with an other browser?
Same thing on google chrome and firefox.
Can you try to delete the en-GB.mod_knu_alerts.ini language file and try it again?
Ok, deleted the language file and now it just says: "MOD_KNU_ALERTS_ACCESS_FORBIDDEN"
ok.. you can reinstall the module or copy the language file to your webspace.
You have jomsocial working on your site? ... the module is a jomsocial module.

You have a special way to register new users, for every new user which register on your site the module works, but not for old users which registered some time ago.
I still don't see it working. I used the account that i saw that you created, changing the password to get in, and I still see the same "you must register first" message in place of the module. You are saying that when you registered as a new user, you saw the module working correctly?
